Skin overview

This wear keeps the look of the map-inspired finish almost unchanged: a grey-green rifle with a strip of warm reds and yellows broken by green zones. Any marks are small and sit on the edges of the painted band, so the colours read as fresh in game. It is a practical way to get a near-clean copy without paying for the top grade.

Item type: sniper rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the Souvenir version.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The base of the rifle is dark grey with an olive tint: barrel, handguard, scope, pistol grip, stock and magazine stay in this muted colour. The artwork sits on the receiver as a horizontal band of red, pink, yellow and green patches separated by thin dark lines, resembling zones on a tactical map.

Small scratches may appear on the top edge of the receiver and at the borders of the painted band. They are hard to spot without zooming in on the inspect view. In game the skin looks practically identical to Factory New. The magazine, grip and stock remain clean.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The float of StatTrakā„¢ G3SG1 | Keeping Tabs ranges from 0 to 0.7; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.15 — 11% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

Price by quality

Among 9 skins of the G3SG1 in the Mil-Spec Grade grade and this quality, this skin ranks 3rd by price, counting from the dearest.

StatTrakā„¢ version

This is the StatTrakā„¢ version: the counter on the weapon shows confirmed kills. There is also the regular version without the counter. Right now the StatTrakā„¢ version is 1.6Ɨ dearer than the regular one.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in red, yellow or green echo the map zones on the receiver, while dark or matte stickers sit quietly on the grey handguard and stock. Placing them on the dark parts keeps the map strip uncovered.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the coloured band on the receiver shows the difference most clearly.
  • Inspect the top edge of the receiver and the borders of the map strip, as they lose paint first.
  • Look at the area around the magazine well, where wear spreads in the middle and lower grades.
  • Note any stickers or name tag already applied, as they change the look of the receiver.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want a skin that looks clean in game without paying for the top grade.
  • Sticker crafters who accept tiny marks at the edges of the band.
  • A sensible balance between appearance and cost.
