Show allAllSkin overview
The skin is easy to spot by its green topographic panels set against a dark olive body, with the lightest tones sitting on top of each layer. Minimal Wear keeps the contour drawing practically intact, and any marks are small enough to need a close inspection to notice. It gives nearly the same look as the cleanest grade at a lower condition tier.
Item type: machinegun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.
The same quality also exists as the Souvenir version.
Appearance in Minimal Wear
The barrel, receiver frame and small parts are kept in a dark olive-grey, which works as a frame for the coloured panels. The receiver side panels, the box magazine and the stock carry the main drawing: concentric contour lines in pale yellow, lime and deeper green that imitate stepped layers going inward, like a relief map.
Small specks may appear on the corners of the magazine box and the lower edge of the stock. The contour drawing itself stays intact and the gradient keeps its brightness. At normal viewing distance in game it is hard to tell apart from Factory New. Receiver panels and barrel look clean.
Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15
The whole float range of StatTrak™ M249 | Deep Relief is 0–1; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (8% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Operation Broken Fang Collection with 17 skins in total.
The source is Operation Broken Fang Case.
What it costs in each quality
Compared with the Minimal Wear quality, the others go like this:
- Factory New — 2.3× dearer
- Field-Tested — 1.9× cheaper
- Well-Worn — 2.5× cheaper
- Battle-Scarred — 3.5× cheaper
Based on the cheapest SkinOut.gg listing of each quality, otherwise on the market reference.
Among 8 skins of the M249 in the Mil-Spec Grade grade and this quality, this skin ranks 3rd by price, counting from the dearest.
StatTrak™ version
This is the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon shows confirmed kills. There is also the regular version without the counter. Right now the StatTrak™ version is 3% cheaper than the regular one.
Which stickers suit it
Gold, sand, olive and lime stickers echo the layered palette, while dark or black designs blend with the frame. Placing them on the receiver near the panels keeps the contour drawing on the box visible.
What to check before buying
- Look at the float position within the grade, since a low float in Field-Tested or Well-Worn noticeably reduces scratching on the box.
- Inspect the corners and edges of the magazine box first, as they are the most visible part in first-person view and wear earliest.
- Check the stock edges and receiver panels for paint loss on worn copies.
- Note any applied stickers or a name tag, and whether they suit the green palette.
Who the Minimal Wear quality suits
- Players who want a near-clean look without paying for the top grade.
- Crafters for whom tiny marks on box corners do not matter.
- Practically the same view in game at a more reasonable condition tier.
