Skin overview

This is the M4A4 in a faded olive and grey-brown zebra spray, a finish that suits a used, rough look. Well-Worn copies show bare metal along the muzzle, rails, carry handle and magazine edges, while the stripe pattern stays readable on the larger flat surfaces. The extra wear fits the faded theme instead of fighting it.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the Souvenir version.

How the skin looks in Well-Worn

The whole rifle is sprayed in a dusty olive-khaki base with a mottled, grainy texture, crossed by darker grey-brown zebra stripes. On the receiver and lower the stripes run at an angle, continuing across the magazine and the pistol grip.

Well-Worn copies lose paint along the whole barrel and handguard edges, with bare metal showing on the carry handle and rails. The magazine shows wider worn patches at the bottom and along its sides. The stripes stay readable on the receiver sides and the middle of the stock. In game the rifle looks clearly used, though the camo character remains.

Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45

The whole float range of StatTrak™ M4A4 | Faded Zebra is 0.06–0.8; Well-Worn takes the 0.38–0.45 segment (9% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The eSports 2013 Collection with 9 skins in total.

It drops from eSports 2013 Case (on sale since Jul 9, 2014).

What it costs in each quality

Among 5 skins of the M4A4 in the Mil-Spec Grade grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.

StatTrak™ version

This is the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon shows confirmed kills. There is also the regular version without the counter. Right now the StatTrak™ version is 28% dearer than the regular one.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in olive, tan, brown, black or matte gold keep the muted military look of the stripes. Placing them on the receiver side or magazine, where the stripes are widest, keeps the pattern readable. Bright or glossy holo stickers stand out sharply against the faded palette and suit a contrast craft.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within its wear grade, since low-float Field-Tested copies look close to Minimal Wear.
  • Inspect the muzzle, carry handle and magazine edges, as these lose paint first.
  • Look at any applied stickers and their wear, because they change the muted look of the finish.
  • Check whether the copy has a name tag and whether it is StatTrak™ or Souvenir, as both versions exist.

Who should buy Well-Worn

  • Players who like a used, rough look that fits the faded theme.
  • Budget buyers who want this skin with the pattern still readable on the stock and receiver.
  • Conclusion: a characterful worn rifle at a low entry point.
