Skin overview

Battle-Scarred turns the cat illustration into a heavily chipped, patchy image, with metal showing through across the magazine, grip and receiver edges. The teal and yellow tones remain as fragments, keeping the colour scheme recognisable. It is the cheapest way to carry this artwork and suits those who like a battered look.

Item type: smg. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The same quality also exists as the Souvenir version.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The receiver carries the main artwork: a snarling yellow and orange cat with bared fangs, set over a cream base streaked with dark teal brushstrokes, and a small red target on the rear upper part. The barrel, muzzle, trigger and stock parts are painted solid teal, framing the illustration with a cool accent.

Heavy chipping covers the magazine, grip, front strap and receiver edges, and the teal barrel and stock parts are badly worn. The cat illustration is broken into patches, with metal showing through parts of the face and surrounding brushstrokes. In game the colour scheme is still recognisable, though the details are lost. Fragments of yellow and teal remain the main visual cues.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in teal, yellow, orange or red echo the existing palette and blend well with the artwork. Placements on the magazine or near the front of the receiver keep the cat head visible, while cat-themed or aggressive designs reinforce the motif.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since copies near the cleaner end show less chipping on the muzzle and magazine.
  • Inspect the cat's face and the red target on the receiver, as these define the skin's look.
  • Look at the edges of the teal stock parts and the magazine base, which wear first.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag to make sure they suit the artwork and do not cover the cat.
