StatTrak™ MAG-7 | Cobalt Core (Minimal Wear)

Skin overview

This MAG-7 pairs a slate-blue body with glowing cyan strips that trace the edges of its armour-like plates. A Minimal Wear copy keeps almost the full look of a factory piece; any marks are tiny and sit on the edges, not on the main graphic. It is the sensible choice for a near-clean finish at a lower grade.

Item type: shotgun. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Custom Paint Job: hand-painted across the whole body; this is the type where wear shows most, the artwork rubs down to metal.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the Souvenir version.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The receiver is covered in angular slate-blue plates with darker blue sections and a fine speckled texture, separated by thin glowing cyan lines. The foregrip continues the same blue panelling with curved turquoise strips, and a cyan ring sits on the muzzle behind the dark gunmetal barrel.

Small scuffs may appear on the outermost edges, such as the top rail and the corners of the magazine. The cyan lines and the blue plates remain essentially untouched. At normal distance in game it is practically indistinguishable from Factory New. The foregrip and the side of the receiver stay clean.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.15

The whole float range of StatTrak™ MAG-7 | Cobalt Core is 0–0.5; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.15 segment (16% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

StatTrak™ MAG-7 | Cobalt Core belongs to The Shadow Collection, which holds 16 skins.

The source is Shadow Case (on sale since Sep 15, 2015).

What it costs in each quality

Among 11 skins of the MAG-7 in the Mil-Spec Grade grade and this quality, this skin ranks 4th by price, counting from the dearest.

StatTrak™ version

This is the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon shows confirmed kills. There is also the regular version without the counter. Right now the StatTrak™ version is 1.9× dearer than the regular one.

Stickers and crafts

Stickers in cyan, teal, white or silver tones match the turquoise lines and the steel-blue base. Holo and foil stickers with a cool palette fit the futuristic style, while warm reds or yellows will clash with the scheme. The flat side of the receiver gives the cleanest placement without covering the cyan accents.

What to check before buying

• Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies at the clean end of a grade keep noticeably more cyan trim.
• Look at the top rail, muzzle ring and magazine bottom, which lose paint first on this finish.
• Check applied stickers and any name tag, as they change how the blue panel design reads.
• Confirm whether you are buying a StatTrak™ or Souvenir copy, since both versions exist for this skin.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

• Players who want a near-factory look in game for less.
• Crafters who accept tiny edge marks that stickers will not hide anyway.
• Conclusion: the balanced pick between appearance and cost.
