Show allAllSkin overview
SG 553 | Ultraviolet is a plain two-tone finish: deep purple on the handguard, scope, grip and stock, with a dark grey receiver and magazine. In Factory New the purple paint is even and saturated, and the edges of the rail ridges stay sharp. A clean solid colour with no pattern to hide flaws, so this grade gives the neatest look.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the Souvenir version.
How the skin looks in Factory New
The handguard with its long ribbed rails, the barrel, front sight and the scope are painted solid purple. The receiver and the magazine stay dark grey to black, which splits the rifle into two clear colour zones.
The purple coat is uniform on every part, and the rail ridges, scope rims and muzzle keep full colour. The grey receiver and magazine look smooth with no scuffs. In game the rifle reads as a crisp purple and black weapon from any distance. Everything still looks clean.
Factory New wear: float 0.06–0.07
The whole float range of StatTrak™ SG 553 | Ultraviolet is 0.06–0.8; Factory New takes the 0.06–0.07 segment (1% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
The skin’s collection is The Arms Deal Collection with 9 skins in total.
The source is CS:GO Weapon Case (on sale since Sep 20, 2013).
What it costs in each quality
Among 9 skins of the SG 553 in the Mil-Spec Grade grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.
StatTrak™ version
This is the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon shows confirmed kills. There is also the regular version without the counter. Right now the StatTrak™ version is 2.3× dearer than the regular one.
Which stickers suit it
Purple, violet and holographic stickers blend with the colour scheme, while black, silver or white ones contrast well on the dark receiver. Placing stickers on the grey middle section keeps them readable against the purple ends.
What to check before buying
- On a flat solid-colour finish every chip is visible, so check the float position within the wear range rather than the grade alone.
- Inspect the handguard rail ridges, scope rims and muzzle, since these lose paint first.
- Note that the Factory New band for this skin is very narrow, so compare it carefully with low Minimal Wear copies.
- Check applied stickers and any name tag, as they strongly change the look of such a plain finish.
Who the Factory New quality suits
- Collectors who want the cleanest possible solid purple without a single chip.
- Sticker crafters who need an untouched base for a purple or holographic theme.
- The choice for those who value a flawless flat finish above all.
