Show allAllSkin overview
SG 553 | Wave Spray is recognisable by its pale, cool base broken up by short, dark blue spray strokes. On a Well-Worn copy the paint is noticeably chipped along rails, edges and the magazine, and bare metal begins to show through. The rifle takes on a used, weathered character while the pattern remains readable.
Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.
Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred. The same quality also exists as the Souvenir version.
Appearance in Well-Worn
The handguard, receiver, magazine and stock are coated in a pale grey-blue base with short, thick strokes of slate and navy blue sprayed over it in no fixed order. The strokes run across the rail sections of the handguard and continue onto the scope, while the barrel and muzzle stay dark steel.
Chipping spreads from the edges onto the flat surfaces of the handguard and the magazine. Dark metal shows through in many spots, and the scope and stock edges are clearly worn. In game the rifle looks used, with the blue strokes partly broken up. Some areas on the receiver and stock still keep the paint in reasonable shape.
Well-Worn wear: float 0.38ā0.45
The whole float range of StatTrak⢠SG 553 | Wave Spray is 0.06ā0.8; Well-Worn takes the 0.38ā0.45 segment (9% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin

What it costs in each quality
Among 9 skins of the SG 553 in the Mil-Spec Grade grade and this quality, this skin ranks 2nd by price, counting from the dearest.
StatTrak⢠version
This is the StatTrak⢠version: the counter on the weapon shows confirmed kills. There is also the regular version without the counter. Right now the StatTrak⢠version is 2% dearer than the regular one.
Which stickers suit it
Stickers in white, silver, navy or teal tones sit naturally on the pale blue-grey base. Placing them along the receiver keeps them in view without covering the stroke pattern on the handguard. Warm, saturated colours will contrast sharply and are better kept to a single accent.
What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, as the light base makes scuffs more visible than on dark finishes.
- Look at the handguard rails and the magazine edges first, since they are the first parts to lose paint.
- Inspect the stroke placement on the handguard, as the freehand pattern sits differently from copy to copy.
- Note any applied stickers or a name tag, as they change how the rifle looks and may not suit every buyer.
Who the Well-Worn quality suits
- Players who like a weathered rifle with visible use.
- Budget buyers who want the colour scheme without paying for a cleaner grade.
- Conclusion: a practical choice if the used look is part of the appeal.
