Skin overview

The skin is built around jade green, bronze and engraved guardian lions, a calm ornamental look for a shotgun. Battle-Scarred copies show heavy abrasion across the tube, pump and receiver edges, so the finish takes on a weathered, old-relic character. It suits players who like a rough look or simply want the lowest entry point.

Item type: shotgun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The same quality also exists as the Souvenir version.

How the skin looks in Battle-Scarred

The barrel and the magazine tube are painted jade green with a fine textured pattern, broken up by a bronze band with carved detail near the muzzle end. The receiver and the ribbed pump are warm bronze, and the receiver side carries an engraved relief of lions, with another lion placed beneath the rear sight.

Heavy abrasion covers the barrel, the tube and the pump, and the receiver edges are rubbed down extensively. The lion engraving survives mostly in its recessed areas, while raised details are worn. The stock and grip lose a large share of their green on all exposed edges. In game the shotgun looks weathered, with the green and bronze still giving a general impression of the design.

Battle-Scarred quality — float range 0.45–1

The whole float range of StatTrak™ XM1014 | Watchdog is 0–1; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–1 segment (55% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Operation Riptide Collection with 17 skins in total.

The source is Operation Riptide Case.

Stickers and crafts

Gold, bronze and deep green stickers sit naturally on this finish and echo its metal and paint. Placing them on the green barrel keeps the engraved lion scene on the receiver clear. Bright neon colours tend to clash with the calm ornamental look.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a low float in Field-Tested looks much closer to Minimal Wear than a high one.
  • Inspect the muzzle, the pump ribs and the receiver edges, as these parts show wear first.
  • Look at whether the lion engraving on the receiver is still crisp, because it carries most of the skin's character.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag, as they change the look of the receiver area.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Players who like a weathered, relic-like look.
  • The lowest entry point for anyone who wants this skin in the inventory.
  • A fit for those who value character over condition.
