Skin overview

UMP-45 | Grand Prix dresses the SMG in an old-fashioned racing livery: a sand-yellow body, red stripes on the front end and a white roundel with a large black race number on the receiver. The artwork already has a weathered, chipped look, so Field-Tested scuffs blend into it and read as part of a well-used racing car. This is the only condition the skin comes in, so every copy shares this lived-in character, and the choice comes down to how clean a particular copy is.

Item type: smg. Restricted sits in the middle of the rarity scale: noticeably rarer than Mil-Spec, yet not truly rare.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The receiver and front handguard are painted in a warm sand-yellow tone with scattered dark speckles and chips that imitate aged paint. Two red racing stripes wrap around the front of the handguard near the barrel, and the side of the receiver carries a white roundel with a black number in a classic racing typeface. The magazine, pistol grip, folding stock, vertical foregrip and barrel stay in plain grey and dark grey, which frames the colourful body, while the trigger guard and small fittings have a pale golden tint. On worn copies the paint goes first on the upper edges of the receiver, the front of the handguard around the red stripes and the outline of the roundel, where scratches show the bare metal underneath.

Field-Tested copies show scratches along the top edges of the receiver and on the front of the handguard, where the red stripes can lose small pieces of colour. The white roundel may pick up nicks around its rim, while the race number itself usually remains easy to read. At normal in-game distance the scuffs merge with the painted-on weathering, so the gun still reads as a clean racing livery with a vintage feel. The grey magazine, grip and stock change little, since they carry almost no paint to begin with.

Stickers and crafts

Red, white and black stickers echo the racing stripes and the roundel, and gold or tan tones sit well on the sand-yellow body. Placing stickers along the handguard or the rear of the receiver keeps the number roundel in view.

What to look at before you buy

  • Compare the float within the Field-Tested range, since lower values keep the red stripes and roundel edges noticeably tidier.
  • Look at the white roundel on the receiver and make sure the race number is not cut by heavy scratches.
  • Check the top edges of the receiver and the front of the handguard, as these lose paint first.
  • Note any applied stickers or name tag, because they can cover the roundel that defines the design.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Players who want a warm, distinctive UMP-45 that stays readable from a distance.
  • Fans of retro and motorsport themes building a matching inventory.
