Skin overview

Canvas Cloud is recognisable by its cloud-like orange and brown blotches and the bright orange furniture. In Field-Tested the pattern is still clearly visible, but scuffs appear along the barrel and on protruding edges. The overall warm colour scheme holds up well at normal viewing distance.

Item type: shotgun. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The barrel, magazine tube and stock frame carry a hydrographic coat of irregular orange, tan and brown spots over a pale cream base. The pump forend, pistol grip, buttpad and parts of the receiver are finished in solid orange, which frames the spotted areas.

Scuffs spread along the barrel, the magazine tube and the edges of the receiver, and the pale base starts to look slightly dull. The spots are still clearly visible, though some borders become broken. The orange furniture shows light wear only on its edges. In game the skin reads as a warm spotted finish with a lived-in look.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of XM1014 | Canvas Cloud is 0–0.6; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (38% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Radiant Collection with 28 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

Which stickers suit it

Stickers in orange, brown, cream or gold tones blend with the spotted coat, while dark brown or black accents stand out against the orange furniture. Placements on the receiver side above the pump keep stickers on the calmer part of the pattern.

• Check where the float sits within its wear range, since the muzzle and barrel edges show the difference first.
• Look at the top of the barrel and the receiver edges in the inspect view to judge how much of the spotted coat is left.
• Souvenir copies come with pre-applied stickers, so make sure they suit the warm orange palette.
• Check any applied stickers and name tag, as they stay with the item.
