Skin overview

Irezumi relies on a gold base and fine snake linework, so heavier wear changes its character noticeably. In Well-Worn the receiver and stock show clear scuffing and the gold looks dulled and patchy, giving the gun a used, weathered feel. It suits buyers who like an aged look or want the skin at an accessible grade.

Item type: shotgun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Well-Worn

The receiver carries the main artwork: a gold-coloured base covered with dense, engraving-like swirls and a snake drawn in the Irezumi tattoo manner. The barrel and magazine tube are dark, close to black, with ribbed sections, while the tube cap and the area near the front sling mount are a pale cream tone.

The gold is dulled and broken by patches of scraped paint across the receiver and stock panel, and parts of the ornament lose their outline. The pump and the cream grip show obvious scuffing. In game the gun reads as a worn gold piece rather than a detailed engraving. The dark barrel and tube look the least affected.

Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45

The whole float range of XM1014 | Irezumi is 0–0.799; Well-Worn takes the 0.38–0.45 segment (9% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

Which stickers suit it

Gold, black, cream and muted red stickers match the tattoo-style palette best. Placing them on the dark barrel or tube keeps the receiver ornament visible, while a single gold or holo sticker can complement the engraved look.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the gold base changes noticeably between low and high values of the same grade.
  • Inspect the receiver edges and the stock panel corners, as these lose the gold and linework first.
  • Look at the pale cream grip and tube cap for scuffs, which stand out against the light colour.
  • Note any stickers or name tag, since bright stickers can cover or clash with the receiver ornament.

Who should buy Well-Worn

  • Fans of an aged, weathered look on ornamented weapons.
  • Budget-minded players who still want the Irezumi design.
  • Good for those who accept visible wear in exchange for savings.
