Skin overview

XM1014 | Watchdog is a Mil-Spec Gunsmith finish that pairs a jade green base with bronze-toned metal and guardian lions on the receiver. In Factory New the green is even and saturated, and the fine relief of the lion carving keeps every line sharp. This is the grade for a buyer who wants the ornament exactly as it was painted.

Item type: shotgun. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The barrel and the magazine tube are painted jade green with a fine textured pattern, broken up by a bronze band with carved detail near the muzzle end. The receiver and the ribbed pump are warm bronze, and the receiver side carries an engraved relief of lions, with another lion placed beneath the rear sight. The pistol grip and the stock are green with a stippled texture and bronze trim along the stock frame. On worn copies the paint goes first on the muzzle, the pump ribs, the receiver edges and the outer edges of the stock, while the recessed parts of the engraving hold longer.

The green paint is uniform along the barrel, tube, grip and stock, with no visible marks. The bronze receiver keeps its warm tone and the lion engraving stays crisp in every detail. In game the shotgun shows clean, saturated green and bright metal at any distance. Everything on the weapon looks fresh.

Stickers and crafts

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a low float in Field-Tested looks much closer to Minimal Wear than a high one.
  • Inspect the muzzle, the pump ribs and the receiver edges, as these parts show wear first.
  • Look at whether the lion engraving on the receiver is still crisp, because it carries most of the skin's character.
  • Check applied stickers and any name tag, as they change the look of the receiver area.

Who the Factory New quality suits

  • Collectors who want the lion engraving and the green paint without any marks.
  • Sticker crafters who need a clean base for gold or bronze combinations.
  • The choice for buyers who value a flawless look over savings.
