The karambit knife was created as a component of southeast Asian silat, featuring a curved blade resembling a tiger's claw. It is commonly gripped in a reverse hold, with the index finger through the finger ring. Its appearance is enhanced by black and silver metallic paints applied using a marbleizing medium and then finished with a three-color candy coating.
