The karambit knife was created as a component of silat, a martial art in southeast Asia. Its blade is curved like a tiger's claw and is used with a reverse grip, with the index finger in the ring. The knife has been given a unique appearance by painting it with aluminum and chrome paints with different levels of reflection, and then covering it with a bright red candy coat.
