Skin overview

This is the blue phase of the Doppler on the Bowie Knife, with its long clip-point blade, serrated spine and blue-accented guard and pommel. In Minimal Wear the marbled blue looks practically the same as on cleaner copies, and any marks are tiny and limited to the edges. Buyers get the same Phase 4 colouring at a slightly more relaxed grade.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The whole blade is coated in Phase 4 colours: deep blue and violet-blue tones broken by dark navy, almost black marbled veins, with pale blue to white highlights along the spine and near the tip. The sawback teeth on the spine carry the same blue finish as the flat of the blade.

Light wear may show as tiny specks at the tip, along the cutting edge and on the points of the sawback teeth. The flat of the blade, where most of the marbling sits, stays clean, and the guard and pommel keep their blue. At normal viewing distance in game the difference from Factory New is barely noticeable. Close inspection is the only place where the small marks become visible.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.07–0.08

The float of ★ Bowie Knife | Doppler Phase 4 ranges from 0 to 0.08; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.08 — 12% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying

  • Look at the float within the grade, since Factory New and Minimal Wear copies can look nearly identical.
  • Check the tip and the sawback teeth on inspect, as these spots show marks first.
  • Compare the balance of dark veins and light highlights on the blade, because the marbling differs from copy to copy.
  • Confirm whether the copy is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want Phase 4 colours in game without paying for the cleanest grade.
  • Buyers who accept tiny marks at the tip that are hard to see in normal play.
  • A sensible way to get the same blue Doppler look.
