The crossguard and pommel cap are polished steel, and the grip is matte black with two visible pins. On worn copies the cutting edge, the tip and the sawback teeth lose the patina first, followed by the flat of the blade.

The patina is complete across the whole blade, with sharp edges to every stain. The cutting edge, tip and sawback teeth show no scratches. In game the blade reads as evenly mottled cold steel. The guard and pommel look bright and clean.
