Skin overview

Safari Mesh is the most understated finish on the Classic Knife: olive and sand spray paint in a loose mesh pattern. In Battle-Scarred the blade shows large areas of exposed steel and the camouflage survives mostly in patches closer to the guard and on the handle. For many buyers this is simply the most accessible way to own the knife, and the worn steel fits its utilitarian style.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The blade is painted in olive and sage green with darker tonal clouds, while pale sandy blotches with ragged, wavy outlines run along the spine and through the middle of the blade. The sharpened edge and the tip carry a lighter, almost metallic band that frames the camouflage.

Much of the blade is bare steel, with the camouflage surviving in broken patches, mainly near the guard. The guard and handle show clear wear on edges and on the checkering. In game the knife reads as a metal blade with remnants of green paint. The range stops short of the most extreme wear, so some camouflage always remains.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check the float within the wear grade, as the edge and tip show the difference first.
  • Look at the cutting edge and spine on the inspect screen, since this is where the spray paint breaks away.
  • On worn copies compare how much camouflage remains near the guard and on the handle.
  • Decide whether you need StatTrak™, as both versions of this knife exist.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Budget buyers who want to enter the knife market with this model.
  • Players who prefer bare steel with traces of camouflage.
  • Conclusion: the most accessible way to carry the Classic Knife.
