Skin overview

Black Tie is a black-and-white driving glove with a woven panel on the back of the hand. In Battle-Scarred the white palm turns grey and stained, and the dark leather is broken up by heavy pale scuffing, especially on fingers and the weave. It is the cheapest way into this design and suits players who like a rough, heavily used look.

Item type: gloves. Extraordinary is the gloves rarity: in cases they are the rare special item, above any weapon skin.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The back of each glove is dark grey-black leather, with a raised woven lattice panel set over the back of the hand and stitched seams outlining the cuff and fingers. The fingers carry rows of small perforations typical of driving gloves.

Heavy pale scuffing covers the fingers, knuckles and weave, and reaches the cuff and the back of the hand. The palm turns grey and stained over most of its surface. The contrast between the two sides is reduced, and the pair looks rough even at a glance. Only the darkest flat areas of the back keep a reasonably even tone.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the grade, since the white palm shows grime quickly as wear grows.
  • Look at the fingertips and knuckles in the inspect view, as they wear before the rest of the glove.
  • Inspect the woven panel on the back of the hand, because its raised strands lose colour early.
  • Turn the hands in the preview to see the palm, which is less visible in normal play but shows dirt clearly.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Players looking for the cheapest entry into this design.
  • Those who prefer a rough, heavily used look on their hands.
  • The entry option for anyone who cares more about the gloves than the condition.
