Skin overview

This is the Ruby phase of the Doppler finish on the Flip Knife: a solid red blade with a marbled texture instead of a multicolour gradient. In Minimal Wear the colour itself does not fade, and any traces are limited to small marks near the point and edges that most viewers will not notice. It gives the same red look in hand while sitting one grade below the cleanest copies.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The whole blade, from the curved back-swept point to the serrated section near the pivot, is painted in rich red with darker crimson marbling under a glossy candy coat. The sharpened edge shows a thin bright line of bare steel that frames the red surface.

At Minimal Wear faint scuffs may appear near the point and on the serrated teeth, usually only visible when inspecting the knife up close. The flat of the blade keeps its red colour and marbled pattern without fading. In normal play and on the draw animation the knife looks practically the same as a Factory New copy. The grip and pivot accents remain clean.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.08

The whole float range of ★ Flip Knife | Doppler Ruby is 0–0.08; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.08 segment (12% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying

  • Inspect the point and the serrated spine in close view, since that is where marks show first.
  • Look at where the float sits within the wear range, as a low float in Minimal Wear can look almost identical to Factory New.
  • Compare the marbled pattern on the blade, because the dark swirls are placed differently on each copy.
  • Check whether the copy is StatTrak™ or has a name tag if either matters to you.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want the same red look in game and are fine with tiny marks near the point.
  • Buyers looking for a lower entry into this finish without a visible drop in colour.
  • Conclusion: a sensible way to get the Ruby look when absolute cleanliness is not the priority.
