Skin overview

The Ruby phase of the Gut Knife Doppler is recognisable at any distance: a solid red blade with smoky dark marbling and a curved gut hook on the spine. In Minimal Wear the colour and gloss stay intact, and any marks are small scuffs that need a close look to find. It offers the same red blade at a grade that is usually more accessible than Factory New.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The whole blade, including the gut hook and the serrated section on the spine, is covered in a deep red anodized finish. Darker crimson and near-black swirls run across the flat of the blade in a marbled, smoke-like pattern, while the sharpened bevel along the edge stays bright polished steel.

In Minimal Wear small scuffs may appear near the tip and along the edge bevel, more noticeable on copies higher in the range. The red stays saturated and the marbling is fully readable. At normal in-game distance and in the inspect animation the difference from Factory New is hard to spot. The hook, the serrations and the handle generally still look clean.

• Check where the float sits within the range, since copies near the upper end of Minimal Wear show more marks at the tip.

• Note whether the copy is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag, as both change how the knife is valued.
