Show allAllSkin overview
This gut knife is recognisable by its purple blade covered in loose metallic doodles over a dark painted base. In Field-Tested the paint starts to thin at the tip and along the edges, and bare steel begins to mix with the drawing. The swirls in the middle of the blade remain readable, so the skin still looks clearly like Freehand.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.
The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.
Appearance in Field-Tested
The blade carries the whole finish: a dark base with large violet panels, covered by dense silvery and white marker drawings such as swirls, curls and lettering-like strokes. The spine, including the gut hook and the textured section behind it, is mostly dark and grey with fine metallic doodles.
Wear becomes visible at the tip and along the edge, where steel shows through the paint in small patches. The area around the gut hook starts to lose colour as well. In game the blade still reads as purple with silvery doodles, with the scuffs noticeable mainly in inspect. The centre of the blade keeps most of the drawing.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38
The float of ★ Gut Knife | Freehand ranges from 0 to 0.48; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 48% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade show less steel at the tip.
- Look at the tip, cutting edge and gut hook in inspect, as these are the first places where the paint wears off.
- Compare screenshots of several copies, because the placement of the purple panels and drawings on the blade differs between them.
- Note whether the knife has StatTrak™ or a name tag if either matters to you.
Who the Field-Tested quality suits
- Players who want the recognisable purple drawing for everyday use.
- Buyers comfortable with visible wear at the tip and edge.
- A practical grade for playing with the skin.
