Skin overview

★ Huntsman Knife | Doppler (Black Pearl) is a tactical tanto-point knife with a marbled candy-coated finish in deep blue, violet and black. In Factory New the coating is at its cleanest, so the swirls stay sharp and the dark surface keeps a glossy depth all along the blade. This is the grade for a buyer who wants the phase exactly as it was painted.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear.

Appearance in Factory New

The whole blade, from the tanto point to the guard, is covered in dark marbling: black swirls run over blue and violet tones with silvery highlights showing through. The serrated spine with its row of teeth and the long fuller groove are painted in the same scheme, so the dark coating reads as one continuous surface. The guard with the lanyard hole carries the same blue-violet paint, while the grip stays black with a fine texture and small red screws. The pattern of swirls shifts from copy to copy, so the share of blue against black differs. On worn copies the coating goes first at the tip, along the cutting edge and on the spine teeth.

In Factory New the candy coating is intact on the point, the edge and the spine teeth. The marbling keeps crisp borders between black and blue areas, and the gloss is even across the blade. In game at normal distance the knife shows a smooth dark surface with clear violet and blue reflections. The guard and grip look clean as well.

Factory New wear: float 0–0.07

The whole float range of ★ Huntsman Knife | Doppler Black Pearl is 0–0.08; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (88% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying

  • Look at the pattern on the visible side of the blade, since the balance of blue, violet and black differs between copies.
  • Check where the float sits within the grade, especially for Minimal Wear, which covers only a narrow part of this skin's range.
  • Inspect the tip, the cutting edge and the spine teeth, as these show wear first.
  • Decide whether you want a StatTrak™ version and check for a name tag before buying.

Who the Factory New quality suits

  • Collectors who want the Black Pearl phase in its cleanest form.
  • Players who inspect their knife often and value perfect gloss on the edge and tip.
  • Conclusion: the choice for those who want no compromise on condition.
