Skin overview

Freehand keeps its identity through the purple tone and white marker lines even when the paint is noticeably thinned. Well-Worn copies show wider steel patches along the edge and spine, with the drawings broken up near the tip. The blade reads more silver than purple at its outer curve.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Well-Worn

The blade is painted in deep purple and covered edge to edge with white and silver marker drawings: glyphs, hand prints, faces and small symbols. A narrow polished steel strip runs along the cutting edge and catches the light against the dark paint.

Bare steel spreads further from the edge and spine, and the tip loses much of its paint. The outer rim of the ring shows scuffs as well. The base of the blade still holds clear purple and drawings, so the skin is recognisable in game.

Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45

The float of ★ Karambit | Freehand ranges from 0 to 0.48; the Well-Worn quality covers 0.38–0.45 — 15% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the edge and tip change most between low and high values.
  • Look at which drawings fall on the visible side of the blade, as placement differs between copies.
  • Inspect the tip, spine and the rim of the finger ring for exposed steel.
  • Check whether the copy is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag.
