Skin overview

This is the same emerald-green marbled karambit, with a solid green blade and ring set against a plain dark grey handle. Minimal Wear sits in a narrow band at the top of this skin's short float range, so it differs from Factory New only in fine detail. For a buyer it is the more accessible way into the Emerald phase while keeping nearly the same colour and gloss.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The blade is fully covered in green anodized paint, darker toward the edge and spine, with lighter cyan and white marbled clouds running through the middle of the curve. The finger ring repeats the same green marbling, which visually links the tip and the end of the knife.

Wear is limited to faint, small marks near the blade tip and along the edge, visible mostly when inspecting up close. The marbled body of the blade and the ring keep their colour and shine. At normal in-game distance the knife reads practically the same as a Factory New copy. The handle shows no difference because it carries no paint from the finish.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.08

The whole float range of ★ Karambit | Gamma Doppler Emerald is 0–0.08; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.08 segment (12% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What to look at before you buy

  • Look at the blade on inspect to see how the light and dark marbling falls, since some copies look more evenly green than others.
  • Check where the float sits within the grade, as the cleanest Factory New copies stand apart from those near the boundary.
  • Look at the tip, the edge and the outer side of the ring, where the first marks appear.
  • Check whether a name tag has been applied and whether it suits you.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want the emerald look in game and accept marks visible only up close.
  • Buyers looking for a more accessible entry into this phase.
  • Conclusion: almost the same knife in hand, with a sensible saving.
