Skin overview

This Ruby phase covers the Nomad Knife blade in solid crimson with darker veins drifting through the marble pattern. The silver steel bolster and black composite insert keep the red as the only strong colour on the knife. In Minimal Wear the blade can carry faint marks near the tip and edge, but the colour stays as rich as on cleaner copies, often for a smaller outlay.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The blade is fully coated in deep red, lighter and slightly pinkish toward the edge and tip, with dark smoky marbling spread across the flat. The bolster is bare silver steel with a visible pivot screw, and the handle combines a polished metal frame with a row of small holes and a black textured composite insert.

In Minimal Wear small scratches can appear at the very tip and in spots along the edge or spine. They are light and usually only noticeable in the inspect view. The flat of the blade, the marbling and the red handle accents still look clean. In normal play the knife looks practically the same as a Factory New copy.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.08

The float of ★ Nomad Knife | Doppler Ruby ranges from 0 to 0.08; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.08 — 12% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

It is the rare special item of Fever Case — knives and gloves drop far less often than the regular contents.

StatTrak™ version

This skin has a the StatTrak™ version with a kill counter.

What to look at before you buy

  • Inspect the tip and cutting edge first, since the red coating wears there before anywhere else.
  • Compare the marbling across offers, as the amount and placement of the dark veins differ from copy to copy.
  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, because a lower value means fewer marks near the tip.
  • Look for a name tag and decide whether it suits you before buying.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want the full Ruby colour and are fine with faint marks seen only on inspect.
  • Buyers looking for a lower entry into the Ruby phase.
  • Conclusion: nearly the same look in game, with a saving over Factory New.
