Skin overview

★ Nomad Knife | Stained has an uneven, mottled look, so moderate wear fits it naturally. In Field-Tested the stains lose some contrast and light scratches start crossing the blade, yet the cloudy motif stays readable. This grade suits buyers who care more about the knife than a pristine finish.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The finish covers only the blade, which carries a blue-grey patina with pale, almost white clouds and thin darker rings where the stains overlap. The tone deepens to a steelier grey toward the spine and the base of the blade.

Light scratches spread along the cutting edge and start reaching the flat of the blade. The stains look slightly duller and the thin dark rings lose some definition. In game the cloudy pattern is still clearly visible, with wear noticeable mainly during inspect. The spine area stays relatively clean.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The float of ★ Nomad Knife | Stained ranges from 0 to 1; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 23% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since a low float in a worn grade keeps noticeably more of the patina.
  • Look at the inspect screenshots for the stain layout, because the share of pale cloudy area varies between copies.
  • Examine the cutting edge and tip first, as scratches appear there before anywhere else.
  • Note whether the copy has StatTrak™ or a name tag, and choose according to your preference.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who want a Nomad Knife for everyday use with the pattern still readable.
  • Buyers who like a lightly used look on an already mottled finish.
  • A practical middle option for regular play.
