Skin overview

Ultraviolet on the Nomad Knife is a solid colour finish, so wear shows up as plain bare metal breaking through the purple and grey paint. In Field-Tested the handle is still clearly purple, but chips appear on the edges of the scales, around the holes and on the blade spine. The knife starts to look used rather than new, which some players prefer.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The blade is painted a dark matte grey, with a slightly lighter bevel along the cutting edge and a darker bolster where it meets the handle. The handle scales are a saturated purple, broken up by a pivot screw, a row of small holes and contoured finger grooves.

Chipping is now clear on the tip, the cutting edge and the blade spine. The purple scales show light patches of metal on their edges, around the pivot screw and the small holes. In game the knife still reads as purple and grey, but the wear is visible during inspect animations. The flat central areas of the scales and the blade mostly keep their paint.
