Skin overview

The knife combines a straight angular blade in blued steel with a textured paracord grip, a restrained look built on tone rather than pattern. In Minimal Wear the blade still looks clean in hand, and any small scuffs stay near the tip where they are hard to spot. It gives nearly the same view as the top grade at a lower entry point.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The blade is covered in a cold-blued patina that gives it a dark blue to blue-grey tone, slightly lighter along the bevel and darker on the flat. The long slot cutout and the small holes along the spine break up the surface and catch light against the blued steel.

Tiny scuffs may appear near the tip and along the very edge, but they are faint. The blade flat and spine area still look clean. At normal viewing distance in first person the knife is practically indistinguishable from Factory New. The handle shows no change.

What to look at before you buy

  • Look at the inspect screenshots, since the patina pattern changes how blue or how dark the blade appears.
  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, as copies near the cleaner end of a grade show fewer scratches on the edge and tip.
  • Examine the tip, cutting edge and spine closely, because these parts lose the bluing first.
  • Note whether the copy is StatTrak™ or carries a name tag, as both affect what you are paying for.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want a look almost identical to Factory New and prefer to save.
  • Buyers who rarely notice tiny marks near the tip.
  • Conclusion: the most sensible balance of cleanliness and cost.
