Skin overview

This Phase 2 Doppler is recognisable by its pink-to-magenta blade with dark marbled clouds and a grey cord-wrapped handle. In Minimal Wear the finish still looks almost new: the colour stays rich, and any marks are small and sit near the tip or the edges. It gives nearly the same look as the cleanest grade.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The blade is covered in a candy-coated pink and magenta finish, with lighter pink patches and dark, smoky marbled veins running across its length. The pattern continues over the spine, around the long slot cut into the blade and onto the guard area, which takes on a deeper magenta tone.

Light wear starts to appear as small specks or thin scratches at the very tip and along the spine and edge. The area around the slot may show a few faint marks, while the flat of the blade and the guard area stay clean. At normal in-game distance the difference from Factory New is hard to notice, and it mostly shows when inspecting the knife. The colour and marbling remain fully readable.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.08

The whole float range of ★ Paracord Knife | Doppler Phase 2 is 0–0.08; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.08 segment (12% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

It is the rare special item of Fever Case — knives and gloves drop far less often than the regular contents.

StatTrak™ version

There is also a the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon tracks kills.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the range, since lower values keep the tip and spine cleaner.
  • Look at the spread of dark marbling and light pink patches, as the pattern varies between copies.
  • Inspect the tip, spine and the area around the slot, where the coating breaks first.
  • Check for a name tag and whether it is the StatTrak™ version if that matters to you.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want the same pink Doppler look in game and accept small marks seen only on inspection.
  • Buyers looking for a more affordable entry into Phase 2 on this knife.
  • A sensible pick when the look matters more than a perfect tip.
