Skin overview

★ Paracord Knife | Rust Coat is a tanto-point survival knife whose bare steel is covered in patches of orange-brown rust, paired with a grey-green paracord handle wrap. In Well-Worn the blade still shows a lot of cool grey metal, with rust spots scattered across the flat rather than covering it. It reads as a used field tool, not a ruined one.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

Appearance in Well-Worn

The blade has a tanto point, an angled spine with a raised edge and a long narrow slot running along its length, plus smaller cut-outs near the guard. The whole metal surface is a grey patina finish with mottled rust stains in orange and brown tones, heaviest around the middle of the blade and near the spine. The handle is tightly wrapped in grey-green paracord with a speckled weave, ending in a small metal pommel with a lanyard opening. On worn copies the rust grows first across the flat of the blade and along the edges of the slot and spine, while the cord wrap stays largely the same. The colour scheme stays muted throughout: grey steel, rust brown and olive-grey cord.

Rust appears as scattered spots and streaks across the blade, with clear grey steel still visible between them. The edges of the slot and the spine ridge show more staining than the flat near the tip. At normal distance in game the blade reads as grey metal with a dirty, weathered texture. The paracord handle and the pommel look clean and keep their original tone.

What to look at before you buy

  • Decide whether you want more grey steel or more rust, since a lower float within the range keeps the blade lighter and a higher one makes it browner.
  • Look at the area around the long slot and along the spine, because that is where rust is heaviest and most visible in the inspect view.
  • Check the tip and the flat of the blade on screenshots, as their condition decides how grey or brown the knife looks in hand.
  • If you buy a StatTrak™ copy or one with a name tag, confirm these are present on the listing before paying.

Who the Well-Worn quality suits

  • Players who want a Paracord Knife with visible steel and only a hint of rust.
  • Buyers looking for a calm, practical-looking knife that suits most loadouts.
  • Conclusion: the cleaner, greyer take on Rust Coat.
