Skin overview

★ Skeleton Knife | Safari Mesh pairs a dagger-shaped skeleton knife with a muted spray-painted camouflage of olive, sand and grey-green tones under a fine mesh pattern. In Factory New the stencil lines stay crisp and the finish covers the blade, finger ring and taped handle evenly. It is a quiet, field-style finish that lets the knife's silhouette carry the look.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Factory New

The double-edged dagger blade is covered in a grey-green base with darker olive and lighter sand patches laid down through cardboard stencils, and a fine mesh grid sprayed over the whole surface. A row of round holes runs along the blade toward the large finger ring, which carries the same camouflage. The taped handle shows the mesh pattern across its wrap bands, ending in a small lanyard hole at the butt. On worn copies the paint goes first from the cutting edges and the tip, then from the rims of the holes and the finger ring, and later from the raised tape bands on the handle.

The camouflage is intact across the blade, ring and handle, with sharp mesh lines and clean stencil borders. At most there may be a faint trace along the very edge of the blade. In game the knife looks uniformly painted from any angle in the inspect animation. Everything, including the tape bands and the lanyard hole area, reads clean.

Factory New quality — float range 0.06–0.07

The whole float range of ★ Skeleton Knife | Safari Mesh is 0.06–0.8; Factory New takes the 0.06–0.07 segment (1% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a low float in Field-Tested or Well-Worn keeps noticeably more paint on the blade.
  • Look at the cutting edges, the tip and the rims of the holes, as these lose paint first.
  • Pattern placement only shifts the camouflage patches and rarely changes the overall look, so do not overpay for it.
  • Check for a name tag and whether a StatTrak™ counter is present if that matters to you.

Who the Factory New quality suits

  • Collectors who want the camouflage fully intact on the blade.
  • Players who prefer a clean, understated knife over bright finishes.
  • The choice for those who want the finish exactly as designed.
