Skin overview

This Doppler phase is recognised by its near-black blade and the faint violet and silver clouds that drift through it, set against the olive grip of the Bayonet. In Minimal Wear the finish still looks dark and complete, with only small marks that need close inspection to find. It gives the same Black Pearl look in hand while costing the buyer less than the cleanest grade.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The finish covers the whole blade: a base of black and deep navy with marbled violet and silver-blue clouds, brightest near the tip and along the spine. The long fuller under the spine and the hole near the point catch the light and show the darker layers of the coat.

In Minimal Wear faint scratches may appear near the tip and along the cutting edge, more often on copies with a higher float. The fuller, the spine and the main body of the blade still look clean. In game the difference from Factory New is hard to notice, since the dark base hides small marks well. The crossguard and grip look the same as in the cleaner grade.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.08

The float of ★ StatTrak™ Bayonet | Doppler Black Pearl ranges from 0 to 0.08; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.08 — 12% of this skin’s scale. The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

StatTrak™ version

This is the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon shows confirmed kills. There is also the regular version without the counter.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the range, because low Minimal Wear copies look almost identical to Factory New.
  • Look at the pattern on the inspect screen, since the balance of dark base and silver clouds differs between copies.
  • Inspect the tip and the cutting edge closely, as these are the first places where the coat breaks.
  • Note whether the knife is StatTrak™ and whether it carries a name tag.

Who should buy Minimal Wear

  • Players who want the Black Pearl look in game and are fine with tiny marks seen only up close.
  • Buyers looking for a more accessible way into this phase.
  • Conclusion: nearly the same blade in play, with a saving over Factory New.
