Skin overview

Battle-Scarred is the most affordable way into the Falchion Knife with this finish, and it looks noticeably different from the clean grades. Much of the blade is bare steel with only traces of dark paint, and the purple parts carry visible chips. For some players this heavily stripped, almost steel-and-violet look is the point rather than a compromise.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The curved clip-point blade is painted a flat dark grey that reads almost black. The bolster and the front section of the handle carry a solid block of saturated purple, which breaks the dark silhouette where the hand sits.

Most of the blade shows bare steel, with dark paint left only in patches. The handle edges and the area around the finger cut-out are clearly worn through. The purple bolster and pommel carry visible chips, though the colour is still recognisable. In game the knife looks heavily used, with the purple remaining the clearest part of the scheme.

What to look at before you buy

  • Look at the spine and the tip of the blade first, since that is where steel shows through soonest.
  • Compare the float position within the wear grade, as low and high floats of the same grade can look quite different on the blade.
  • Check the corners of the purple bolster for chips if you want the accent to look clean.
  • Decide whether you need StatTrak™ and check for a name tag before buying.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

  • Budget buyers looking for the most accessible entry into this knife.
  • Players who genuinely like the heavily stripped steel-and-violet look.
  • Conclusion: the cheapest way to carry this knife, with a distinct look of its own.
