Skin overview

The Ruby phase is recognised by its single red tone, darker veins running through the blade and a lighter pink sheen along the spine. In Minimal Wear the Doppler range is very narrow, so the copy sits right at the edge of Factory New and the overall colour stays the same at a glance. The difference is in close inspection of the tip and serrations, which is where this grade lets the buyer save while keeping the look.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The whole blade is covered in a translucent red layer over black and silver marbling, which shows as darker swirls and veins under the colour. Near the spine and tip the red lightens into a pink sheen, while the fuller groove and lower part of the blade look deeper and darker.

Light thinning may appear on the very tip and on the edges of the spine teeth, showing as small lighter or silvery points. The flat of the blade, the fuller and the guard keep their colour as in Factory New. At normal distance in game the difference is practically invisible, and only a close inspect reveals it. The grip stays clean.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.08

The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ Huntsman Knife | Doppler Ruby is 0–0.08; Minimal Wear takes the 0.07–0.08 segment (12% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

StatTrak™ version

This is the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon shows confirmed kills. There is also the regular version without the counter.

What to look at before you buy

  • Look at how much dark marbling covers the blade, since the balance of red and dark areas changes the look from copy to copy.
  • Check the float position within the range, as a low float keeps the tip fully coloured.
  • Inspect the Tanto tip and the spine serrations, which lose coating first.
  • On a StatTrak™ copy or one with a name tag, make sure the extra matches what you want before buying.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want the Ruby look in game without paying for the cleanest grade.
  • Buyers who accept tiny marks on the tip that are not visible at normal distance.
  • A sensible entry to the phase with almost the same appearance.
