★ StatTrak™ Huntsman Knife | Safari Mesh (Battle-Scarred)

Skin overview

Battle-Scarred is the most affordable way into a ★ Huntsman Knife with this camouflage. Much of the blade turns to scratched bare metal with patches of faded khaki, yet the float range stops short of the top, so traces of the mesh remain. The appeal here is the knife itself and its animations rather than the paint.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.

Appearance in Battle-Scarred

The blade is sprayed in pale khaki and sage tones with a lighter net pattern stencilled across it from mesh fencing, while brighter silvery patches sit along the edge and the spine. The serrated spine teeth, the swept belly and the angular Tanto point all carry the same camouflage.

Most of the blade is scratched bare metal, with the camouflage reduced to faded patches toward the guard. The tip, the edge and the spine are fully worn. Because the float range does not reach the maximum, some mesh still survives in the centre of the blade. In game the knife looks like a battered steel tool with a hint of khaki.

Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.8

The float of ★ StatTrak™ Huntsman Knife | Safari Mesh ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Battle-Scarred quality covers 0.45–0.8 — 47% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

It is the rare special item of Huntsman Weapon Case (on sale since Jun 11, 2014) — knives and gloves drop far less often than the regular contents.

What to look at before you buy

• Check the float position within the grade, since in the middle grades it decides how much bare metal shows along the edge.
• Look at the tip and the spine teeth on the inspect screen, as these are the first places to lose paint.
• Compare the amount of mesh left near the guard on worn copies, because that area carries the remaining camouflage.
• Check whether the knife is StatTrak™ and whether it has a name tag, as both are visible in game.

Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits

• Players who want the cheapest entry to a ★ Huntsman Knife with this finish.
• Those who care about the knife model and animations more than the paint.
• A pure budget pick where the knife itself is the main point.
