Skin overview
★ Karambit | Doppler (Black Pearl) is a curved claw-shaped knife whose blade and finger ring carry a dark candy-coated finish, deep navy and violet with clouds of silvery marbling. In Factory New the coat reads as a continuous, glassy surface, so the contrast between the near-black tones and the pale silver streaks stays sharp along the whole blade. This is the grade for buyers who want the phase exactly as it was painted.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Anodized Multicolored: several colours in the metal coating; it wears little, the colours only dull with use.
Other qualities of this skin: Minimal Wear.
How the skin looks in Factory New
The blade is coated over its full length: the spine and cutting edge sit in deep navy and violet, while the middle of the blade opens into pale silver-blue marbled clouds. The finish is a candy coat over black and silver metallic paint, so the colours look layered and glossy rather than flat.
At this grade the coat on the blade and ring is effectively untouched. The silver marbling and the dark navy edges keep crisp borders, and the gloss looks even in inspect. In game at normal distance the knife reads as a clean, dark blade with a bright silvery centre. The grey grip looks the same as on any other grade.
Factory New wear: float 0–0.07
The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ Karambit | Doppler Black Pearl is 0–0.08; Factory New takes the 0–0.07 segment (88% of the scale). Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.
Origin of the skin
It drops as a rare special item from:
- Chroma Case (on sale since Jan 8, 2015)
- Chroma 2 Case (on sale since Apr 15, 2015)
- Chroma 3 Case
StatTrak™ version
This is the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon shows confirmed kills. There is also the regular version without the counter.
What to look at before you buy
- Look at the pattern in inspect, since the share of dark tones versus silver marbling differs from copy to copy.
- Check where the float sits within the range, as copies near the upper end of Minimal Wear are the most likely to show tip marks.
- Inspect the blade tip and the rim of the finger ring, where the coat wears first.
- Check for a name tag and the StatTrak™ counter if either matters to you.
Who the Factory New quality suits
- Collectors who want the dark phase with a fully clean coat.
- Players who often inspect their knife and notice small details.
- Conclusion: the choice for those who want the finish without compromise.
