Skin overview
The Stained finish is a patina rather than paint, so the look is defined by smoky blotches over bare steel. In Field-Tested the shine on the blade starts to dull and light scratches appear, which makes the stains read softer and more weathered. For many players this suits the idea of a well-used treated knife.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
How the skin looks in Field-Tested
The curved blade is bare polished steel covered with an irregular patina of smoky grey and pale blue blotches, denser along the spine and lighter toward the edge. The finger ring carries the same stained steel finish, while the grip is a dark grey textured handle with deep finger grooves and serrations along the back.
The tip, edge and outer ring show noticeable scratches, and the polish on the flat of the blade begins to dull. The stains lose some of their contrast as the surrounding steel turns less reflective. In game the knife looks matte and lived-in, while the dark grip still looks tidy.
Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38
The float of ★ StatTrak™ Karambit | Stained ranges from 0 to 1; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 23% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What to look at before you buy
- Look at the inspect view, because the placement and density of the stains differ from copy to copy.
- Check where the float sits within the wear grade, as a low float keeps more shine on the blade.
- Examine the tip, the cutting edge and the ring, since they lose polish first.
- Decide whether a StatTrak™ version or a name tag matters to you before comparing offers.
Who the Field-Tested quality suits
- Players who like the weathered look that fits a treated steel finish.
- Buyers seeking an affordable entry into the Karambit.
- A practical everyday knife with a natural used character.
