Skin overview
★ M9 Bayonet | Stained pairs the full bayonet shape with a mottled grey and blue patina meant to look aged. In Battle-Scarred the stains are broken by scratches and lighter worn steel across much of the blade, yet the overall patchy pattern still reads. It is the most affordable way to own this knife model with this finish.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
Appearance in Battle-Scarred
The blade is covered in a forced patina of dark charcoal and grey patches with pale blue-grey blotches and thin lighter outlines between them. A polished strip along the cutting edge and the fuller hole stay bright and contrast with the stained metal, while the serrated spine runs dark.
Wear covers much of the blade, with heavy scratching on the spine, tip and edges and worn steel breaking into the stains. The patina looks faded and patchy, closer to rough metal in the most exposed areas. At normal distance the knife reads as a scuffed steel blade with darker blotches. The centre of the blade and the grip keep the most of the original look.

What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end of a grade show fewer scuffs on the spine and tip.
- Compare the stain placement on the inspect screen, as some copies carry more blue and others more dark grey on the visible side.
- Look at the serrations, tip and blade edges, which lose the patina first.
- Check for a name tag if you prefer the default item name.
Who should buy Battle-Scarred
- Budget buyers who want the M9 Bayonet model and its animations above all.
- Players who do not mind heavy scratching on a finish designed to look aged.
- The most accessible entry to this knife.
