Skin overview
Damascus Steel on the Nomad Knife combines a swirled blade with a simple light-and-black handle. Battle-Scarred is the most worn grade, but the float range of this skin ends at a moderate value, so the pattern does not wear down as deeply as on finishes with a wider range. The blade looks muted and scratched, yet the damascus layering is still recognisable.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Well-Worn.
Appearance in Battle-Scarred
The broad clip-point blade carries the whole finish: a wavy, layered damascus pattern in pale blue-grey and white that flows from the base to the tip, including the serrated section near the guard. The bolster and frame stay in plain light steel with a dark pivot screw and a row of small holes, and they contrast with the black textured composite insert on the grip.
The blade is the most muted and scratched of all grades, with the heaviest marks at the tip, edge and spine. Because this skin's float range ends early, the wear is only somewhat stronger than on Well-Worn and the pattern does not disappear. In game the knife reads as dull, used steel with faint swirls. The centre of the blade and the black grip insert still look relatively intact.
Battle-Scarred wear: float 0.45–0.5
The whole float range of ★ StatTrak™ Nomad Knife | Damascus Steel is 0–0.5; Battle-Scarred takes the 0.45–0.5 segment (10% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.
Origin of the skin
It is the rare special item of Fever Case — knives and gloves drop far less often than the regular contents.
What it costs in each quality

StatTrak™ version

What to check before buying
- Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end keep more contrast in the pattern.
- Look at the swirl layout on the blade in the inspect view, because the pattern placement differs between copies.
- Inspect the tip, the cutting edge and the spine, as these lose contrast and scratch first.
- Check whether the knife has a StatTrak™ counter or a name tag if either matters to you.
Who the Battle-Scarred quality suits
- Buyers looking for the lowest entry into this knife and finish.
- Players who accept a scratched blade, knowing the narrow range keeps the pattern visible.
- The most affordable way to own the knife with a still recognisable finish.
