Skin overview

Damascus Steel gives the Nomad Knife a forged-metal look, with banded swirls across the blade and a plain light frame around a black grip. In Field-Tested the swirls are still clearly readable, but the blade loses some brightness and picks up scratches along the edge. The finish was made to look like worked metal, so a little wear suits it.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The broad clip-point blade carries the whole finish: a wavy, layered damascus pattern in pale blue-grey and white that flows from the base to the tip, including the serrated section near the guard. The bolster and frame stay in plain light steel with a dark pivot screw and a row of small holes, and they contrast with the black textured composite insert on the grip.

Scratches show along the edge and near the tip, and the blade loses some of its brightness. The damascus lines are softer but still clearly readable over most of the surface. At normal distance in game the knife still reads as patterned steel. The handle frame may pick up light scuffs on its outer contours, while the black insert looks unchanged.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The float of ★ StatTrak™ Nomad Knife | Damascus Steel ranges from 0 to 0.5; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 46% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

Where the skin comes from: collection and case

It is the rare special item of Fever Case — knives and gloves drop far less often than the regular contents.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since copies near the cleaner end keep more contrast in the pattern.
  • Look at the swirl layout on the blade in the inspect view, because the pattern placement differs between copies.
  • Inspect the tip, the cutting edge and the spine, as these lose contrast and scratch first.
  • Check whether the knife has a StatTrak™ counter or a name tag if either matters to you.

Who the Field-Tested quality suits

  • Players who want a readable damascus pattern at a more accessible cost.
  • Buyers who like the look of used, worked steel.
  • A practical everyday pick for regular play.
