Skin overview

Safari Mesh is defined by its soft, sun-bleached palette and a stencilled mesh that sits under the colour rather than on top of it. In Well-Worn the paint is broken up by larger silver patches on the blade, and the knife starts to look like a tool that has seen real use. The general colour scheme and the pale cord handle still tell you which skin it is.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

Other qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Field-Tested and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Well-Worn

The blade is a tanto-style shape with a long through-slot, painted in a grey-olive base with lighter tan blotches and a faint mesh pattern laid over the whole surface. The notched area near the guard and the spine carry the same muted colours, so the knife has no contrasting accents.

Well-Worn copies have wider silver patches along the edge and the tip, and the area around the slot is noticeably scuffed. Paint loss spreads onto the flat of the blade, breaking up the mesh and the tan blotches. At normal distance the knife reads as two-tone: worn steel at the edges, olive paint in the middle. The handle looks dirtier, with darker tones in the weave.

Well-Worn wear: float 0.38–0.45

The float of ★ StatTrak™ Paracord Knife | Safari Mesh ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Well-Worn quality covers 0.38–0.45 — 9% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What to look at before you buy

  • Compare the float within the chosen wear, since in Field-Tested and above it decides how much bare steel shows at the tip and edge.
  • Inspect the rims of the blade slot and the spine, which lose paint early and are visible during inspect animations.
  • Pattern placement shifts the tan blotches slightly but does not change the skin much, so judge copies mainly by wear.
  • Check whether the copy is StatTrak™ or has a name tag if either matters to you.

Who should buy Well-Worn

  • Budget-minded players looking for a knife with visible character.
  • Fans of a used, two-tone steel and paint look.
  • A sensible step down for those who do not mind clear wear.
