This finish relies on monochrome contrast rather than bright colour, which helps ★ Shadow Daggers | Black Laminate hold up in heavier wear. In Well-Worn the laminate on the grips is visibly rubbed along the rims and finger openings, and the blades look darker and more uneven. From normal viewing distance it still reads as a grey striped knife with a dark blade.

The laminate on the rims and cutouts is clearly rubbed, and the swirl at the blade base starts to blur. The blades look darker and patchier, with scratches spreading from the tip toward the middle. In game the stripes merge into a more uniform grey at a distance. Only the inner faces of the grips keep a recognisable layered pattern.
