Skin overview

In Field-Tested the Safari Mesh camouflage starts to show its spray-paint nature: the blade edges and the tip pick up visible scrapes of bare steel. The mesh and the earthy patches remain clear on the flat of the blade and on the handle. The result looks like a used field knife rather than a display piece, which suits this muted finish well.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Minimal Wear, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

Appearance in Field-Tested

The double-edged dagger blade is covered in a grey-green base with darker olive and lighter sand patches laid down through cardboard stencils, and a fine mesh grid sprayed over the whole surface. A row of round holes runs along the blade toward the large finger ring, which carries the same camouflage.

The edges and tip show clear strips of bare metal, and scratches begin to reach into the blade surface and around the row of holes. The rim of the finger ring may show small worn spots. In game the camouflage still reads as a whole, with wear visible mainly on the blade outline. The handle and its tape bands stay largely clean.

Field-Tested wear: float 0.15–0.38

The float of ★ StatTrak™ Skeleton Knife | Safari Mesh ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Field-Tested quality covers 0.15–0.38 — 31% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a low float in Field-Tested or Well-Worn keeps noticeably more paint on the blade.
  • Look at the cutting edges, the tip and the rims of the holes, as these lose paint first.
  • Pattern placement only shifts the camouflage patches and rarely changes the overall look, so do not overpay for it.
  • Check for a name tag and whether a StatTrak™ counter is present if that matters to you.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Players who like a used field-knife look that matches the camouflage theme.
  • Buyers looking for a low-float copy that still keeps most of the paint.
  • A practical everyday knife with honest wear.
