Skin overview

This copy keeps the full Safari Mesh camouflage on the Skeleton Knife, with the sand and olive patches and the mesh grid still clearly readable. Any marks at this grade are small and sit mostly along the blade edge, so in hand the knife looks practically clean. It gives the near-new look of the finish without paying for the narrowest grade.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Spray-Paint: paint sprayed over the metal; scratches and scuffs appear early but look natural.

The remaining qualities of this skin: Factory New, Field-Tested, Well-Worn and Battle-Scarred.

How the skin looks in Minimal Wear

The double-edged dagger blade is covered in a grey-green base with darker olive and lighter sand patches laid down through cardboard stencils, and a fine mesh grid sprayed over the whole surface. A row of round holes runs along the blade toward the large finger ring, which carries the same camouflage.

Light scuffs appear along the cutting edges and near the tip, sometimes as thin lines of bare steel. The flat of the blade, the holes, the ring and the handle remain fully painted. At normal viewing distance it is hard to tell apart from Factory New. Only close inspection of the blade edge shows the difference.

Minimal Wear wear: float 0.07–0.15

The float of ★ StatTrak™ Skeleton Knife | Safari Mesh ranges from 0.06 to 0.8; the Minimal Wear quality covers 0.07–0.15 — 11% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

StatTrak™ version

This is the StatTrak™ version: the counter on the weapon shows confirmed kills. There is also the regular version without the counter. Right now the StatTrak™ version is 32% dearer than the regular one.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since a low float in Field-Tested or Well-Worn keeps noticeably more paint on the blade.
  • Look at the cutting edges, the tip and the rims of the holes, as these lose paint first.
  • Pattern placement only shifts the camouflage patches and rarely changes the overall look, so do not overpay for it.
  • Check for a name tag and whether a StatTrak™ counter is present if that matters to you.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want a near-clean look without paying for the top grade.
  • Buyers who inspect the knife at normal distance and do not mind edge marks.
  • A sensible balance of appearance and cost.
