Skin overview

The finish is a woodland hydrographic in khaki, lime and green spots, and on a worn knife it starts to look like gear that has actually been carried. Well-Worn copies lose a clear strip along the cutting edge and around the tip, while the flat of the blade and the middle of the handle still hold the camo. It is a way to get the stiletto model with a recognisable pattern at a lower grade.

Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Appearance in Well-Worn

The whole knife is covered in a forest camouflage hydrographic: a sandy khaki base with large lime-yellow and olive blotches and small bright green speckles. On the long, narrow blade the pattern runs right up to the tip, with only the thin sharpened edge showing a line of steel.

Well-Worn copies have a wide band of bare steel along the edge and a worn tip, plus clear scuffs on the spine, quillons and pommel. Paint starts thinning on the edges of the handle scales. The middle of the blade and the handle centre still carry recognisable camo blotches. In game the knife looks noticeably used but the pattern is still identifiable.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear grade, since the edge and tip lose paint first and a low float keeps them cleaner.
  • Look at the inspect view of the tip and quillons, which show wear earliest on this knife.
  • Pattern placement shifts the lime and green blotches between copies, so compare the blade and pommel if one layout appeals more.
  • Check for a name tag and StatTrak™, since both versions exist and change what you are buying.

Who should buy Well-Worn

  • Budget buyers who mainly want the stiletto animations in hand.
  • Players who like a visibly carried, weathered knife.
  • In short: affordable stiletto with the pattern still readable.
