Skin overview
★ Ursus Knife | Rust Coat is a tanto-style survival knife whose blade is covered in a patina of corrosion over grey steel. In Well-Worn, the cleanest grade this skin comes in, patches of bare metal still show between the rust spots, so the blade reads as old steel rather than a solid brown surface. The olive green grip and black guard frame the weathered blade and keep the knife easy to recognise.
Item type: knife. Covert is the top weapon rarity: usually the most prominent items of a collection or case.
Patina: an aged metal surface; wear is part of the design, so the gap between qualities is less visible.
How the skin looks in Well-Worn
The finish sits on the blade only: the tanto blade with its flat facets and the serrated section near the guard is covered in a mottled mix of blue-grey steel and orange-brown rust spots. The rust gathers in uneven clouds, and the angled tip and the spine take a darker, more weathered tone. The guard and pommel stay black with the lanyard hole at the end, and the olive green rubber grip keeps its dotted texture. As the float rises, the rust spreads from the scattered spots over the flat faces of the blade and covers the remaining bare steel.
In Well-Worn the rust appears as separate spots and streaks, with noticeable areas of grey steel still visible on the flat of the blade. The tip and the spine are already darker, but the overall tone stays mixed rather than uniformly brown. In first-person view the blade reads as weathered metal with a cool grey base. The grip, guard and pommel look the same as on any copy.

The float of ★ Ursus Knife | Rust Coat ranges from 0.4 to 1; the Well-Worn quality covers 0.4–0.45 — 8% of this skin’s scale. Within the range, copies with a lower float look cleaner and are valued higher.

What to look at before you buy
- Check where the float sits within the grade, since a lower value leaves more grey steel and a higher one gives an almost fully rusted blade.
- Look at the inspect view of the blade flat and tip, because the rust layout varies between copies and decides how much clean steel remains.
- Decide whether you want the StatTrak™ version and check that its counter matches what you expect.
- See whether the copy carries a name tag and whether you like it.
Who the Well-Worn quality suits
- Players who want the rugged survival look but prefer some visible steel on the blade.
- Collectors looking for the cleanest grade this finish comes in.
- The choice for those who want the rust as an accent rather than the whole surface.
