Skin overview

AUG | Copperhead is a Mil-Spec Grade hydrographic finish that covers the rifle's polymer body in a copper snakeskin pattern of brown, red and cream scales. Minimal Wear is the cleanest grade this skin comes in, so the scales on the stock, foregrip and magazine keep their full contrast. The dark metal barrel, scope and rail stay plain, which makes the patterned body stand out.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

Appearance in Minimal Wear

The upper part of the stock behind the receiver carries the densest copper scale pattern, shading from reddish brown to lighter tan. The lower stock, butt and trigger guard are cream with darker blotches, giving the impression of a snake's pale belly. The vertical foregrip and the magazine repeat the reddish scale motif, while the barrel, scope, rail and receiver top stay dark grey metal. On worn copies the cream lower stock, the butt edge, the trigger guard and the bottom edge of the magazine lose paint first, followed by the edges of the foregrip.

Minimal Wear shows only faint marks, mostly on the bottom edge of the magazine and the lower corner of the butt. The copper scales on the upper stock and foregrip look sharp and complete. In game the skin looks practically clean at normal distance. The cream lower stock keeps a smooth, even tone.

Minimal Wear quality — float range 0.12–0.15

The whole float range of AUG | Copperhead is 0.12–0.38; Minimal Wear takes the 0.12–0.15 segment (12% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Dust Collection with 9 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

What it costs in each quality

Taking Minimal Wear as the baseline, Field-Tested — 9% cheaper. Based on the cheapest SkinOut.gg listing of each quality, otherwise on the market reference.

Among 15 skins of the AUG in the Mil-Spec Grade grade and this quality, this skin ranks 3rd by price, counting from the dearest.

Souvenir version

There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Copper, brown, gold and cream stickers match the snakeskin palette best. Stickers placed on the dark metal receiver area stand out cleanly without covering the scale pattern on the stock.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the grade, because low Field-Tested copies look much cleaner than high ones.
  • Look at the cream lower stock and butt edge, as wear shows there first and is most visible on the light colour.
  • Inspect the bottom of the magazine and the foregrip edges for chipping.
  • Check applied stickers and a name tag, since they change the overall look of the patterned stock.

Who the Minimal Wear quality suits

  • Players who want the snakeskin pattern in its cleanest available condition.
  • Collectors and sticker crafters who need intact cream areas and sharp scales.
  • Conclusion: the grade to pick if a clean look matters more than saving.
