Skin overview

In Field-Tested, the Copperhead snakeskin still reads clearly as a warm copper and cream pattern across the AUG's stock and grips. Light scuffs gather on the pale lower stock and on edges, which suits the natural, weathered look of the theme. This grade is the most accessible way to get the recognisable snakeskin AUG.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Hydrographic: the pattern is applied as a film over the metal; wear rubs it down to the base, starting with raised parts.

How the skin looks in Field-Tested

The upper part of the stock behind the receiver carries the densest copper scale pattern, shading from reddish brown to lighter tan. The lower stock, butt and trigger guard are cream with darker blotches, giving the impression of a snake's pale belly.

Field-Tested adds visible scuffs on the cream lower stock, the trigger guard and the butt edge, and the magazine base shows more chipping. The foregrip edges begin to lose some scale detail on higher floats. At normal distance the copper pattern on the upper stock still reads well, and the worn spots blend into the snakeskin texture. Low floats in this grade look close to Minimal Wear, while high floats look noticeably dirtier on the pale areas.

Field-Tested quality — float range 0.15–0.38

The whole float range of AUG | Copperhead is 0.12–0.38; Field-Tested takes the 0.15–0.38 segment (88% of the scale). The lower the float within the range, the cleaner the surface looks and the higher a copy is usually priced.

Origin of the skin

The skin’s collection is The Dust Collection with 9 skins in total. It does not drop from a case: the collection has none — such skins come from operation drops, souvenir packages or the market.

What it costs in each quality

Taking Field-Tested as the baseline, Minimal Wear — 11% dearer. Based on the cheapest SkinOut.gg listing of each quality, otherwise on the market reference.

Among 12 skins of the AUG in the Mil-Spec Grade grade and this quality, this skin is the dearest.

Souvenir version

There is also a the Souvenir version with tournament stickers.

Stickers and crafts

Copper, brown, gold and cream stickers match the snakeskin palette best. Stickers placed on the dark metal receiver area stand out cleanly without covering the scale pattern on the stock.

What to check before buying

  • Check where the float sits within the grade, because low Field-Tested copies look much cleaner than high ones.
  • Look at the cream lower stock and butt edge, as wear shows there first and is most visible on the light colour.
  • Inspect the bottom of the magazine and the foregrip edges for chipping.
  • Check applied stickers and a name tag, since they change the overall look of the patterned stock.

Who should buy Field-Tested

  • Budget buyers looking for an inexpensive, distinctive AUG for everyday matches.
  • Players who like a slightly weathered look that fits the natural theme.
  • Conclusion: a sensible entry choice, preferably with a low float within the grade.
