Skin overview

The finish is built around contrast: light vein-like engraving on a near-black AUG body. Well-Worn copies lose part of that contrast, as the fine lines thin out and the dark base turns patchy and grey on the most exposed areas. The overall silhouette and the amber magazine still keep the skin recognisable in hand.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Mil-Spec Grade is the lowest rarity found in cases and the most common one among them.

Gunsmith: several techniques combined on one item; some parts rub off, others only dull.

How the skin looks in Well-Worn

The receiver, stock and top rail are finished in a dark charcoal base covered with a pale silvery ornament of veins, loops and filigree that reads like engraving. The same pattern runs over the trigger guard and the scope mount, while the barrel and muzzle stay plain matte black.

Wear spreads from the edges onto larger areas of the stock and the front of the body, with the base turning patchy grey. The ornament loses many of its fine lines and the contrast drops noticeably. In game the rifle looks dull and faded rather than engraved. Only the more sheltered flat surfaces still show a fairly clear pattern.

StatTrak™ and Souvenir

Stickers and crafts

Silver, white, black and holo stickers in monochrome tones blend with the pale engraving and keep the gloomy mood. A single accent in amber or copper echoes the magazine. Placements on the flat side of the stock read best against the dark base.

What to look at before you buy

  • Check where the float sits within the wear range, since the edges of the stock and the trigger guard show the difference first.
  • Look at the inspect view of the stock butt and top rail, as these parts lose the fine ornament earliest.
  • Check applied stickers and a name tag, which can change how the dark finish looks on the body.
  • Compare a StatTrak™ or Souvenir copy against a regular one if the counter or the souvenir status matters to you.

Who the Well-Worn quality suits

  • Budget players who want the skin and accept a faded, lower-contrast look.
  • Fans of a weathered style on a dark-themed rifle.
  • An option mainly for saving, not for showing off the ornament.
