Skin overview

FAMAS | Colony is a Consumer Grade rifle finish with individual parts spray-painted khaki and grey. Its look rests on large blocks of pale sandy khaki on the body and carry handle, set against grey on the grip, magazine and part of the stock. In Factory New the paint lies even and unbroken, so the two-tone split between khaki and grey reads crisply.

Item type: rifle. The weapon is available only on the Counter-Terrorist side. Consumer Grade is the lowest tier of the rarity scale: the most common skins, most often used in trade-up contracts.

Solid Color: a single colour without a pattern; wear dulls it evenly and rubs it off along the edges.

How the skin looks in Factory New

The receiver, carry handle, handguard and the long barrel are painted a pale sandy khaki with a slight yellow tint. The pistol grip, trigger guard and magazine are grey, and the rear of the stock combines a khaki butt section with a grey panel near the cheek area. The muzzle device and small fittings such as the bolt handle stay in darker metal tones. There is no pattern, only solid spray-painted zones split along the rifle's parts. On worn copies the paint goes first on the top of the carry handle, the handguard ridges, the muzzle and the edges of the magazine and butt.

The khaki and grey coats are intact on every part, including the carry handle top and the muzzle. Colour borders between the body and the grey stock panel look sharp. In game the rifle reads as a clean, light two-tone gun. The Factory New window for this skin is narrow and the cleanest copies do not start at the very bottom of the float scale.

Muted olive, sand, brown and grey stickers fit the khaki scheme without breaking its military tone. A single dark or matte sticker on the receiver side or handguard stands out cleanly against the pale paint.

• Check the float inside the chosen grade, since a low-float copy looks noticeably cleaner on the carry handle and muzzle.
• There is no pattern on this solid finish, so pattern seeds do not change the look.
• Inspect the carry handle top and magazine edges, which lose paint first.
• Look at applied stickers and a name tag, and for souvenir copies check what the attached souvenir stickers are.
